Stairs are one accessory that you cannot do without when you need to connect two floors to each other. Not much has changed about the look of the age-old thing, but now we have a wonderful piece of work by the name of Wall Stairs. It not only folds flush up against the wall but also gives you the liberty to curb anyone from moving to the upper floor. How does it work? Well, it makes use of uncomplicated mechanical hinges and pistons. Let me elaborate, the hinges permit anyone to conveniently open or close the stairs from either upstairs or downstairs. Whereas the inner pistons assist in sliding back the stairs smoothly, creating a flush wall. The pistons make it possible for each step to lower individually once you pull out the stairs.
This innovative design sprung from a door project, in which the designer was asked to define a door, and this is what he had to say about it, “an element of a wall that allowed passageway to another environment when opened and restricted passageway when closed’. His innovative staircase performs the same function, quite literally!
