Can you imagine owning a desk lamp that mimics the design of a humanoid robot? Well, if you are surprised, have a look at the new desk lamp called Lobot. Jinseok Hwang, a senior industrial designer at Frog design, has given shape to his unique imagination and created the extraordinary Lobot.

The designer explains that the design of his desk lamp has been inspired by the movements of the humanoid robot and mechanics that appear in movies and comic books. Furthermore, he also explains the significance of the name Lobot; Lobot stands for ‘Lighting’ plus ‘Robot’ and also a ‘Robot’ designed by ‘low tech’.

Lobot is a very simple, yet elegant, lamp with LED lighting source and body made up of anodized aluminum. The design and color of this lamp is just perfect to suit any surrounding. Its special hinge system makes it all the more user-friendly.

Truly, Lobot is a special lamp because the designer has not just designed an ordinary lamp that can light a place, but he has also tried to give the lamp life and emotion through its exceptional design.
