The Havana Club had recently launched their Inspired Ingenuity competition that invites talented artists in every stream to transform a regular thing into something entirely different and innovative. The competition lasts for six months and a winner is picked out each month – who wins a free trip to Cuba. In order to gain more publicity and promote the competition, three artists were approached to transform an everyday thing into something novel and Nashmoney was one of the chosen artists.
Nash is known for customizing sneakers and this time they turned a pair of Nike Air Force sneakers into speakers with all the features of regular speakers like the controls and amplifier. By the face of it, the idea looks pretty simple and can possibly be tried out at home (if you can manage to get details of the design!) with a regular pair of sneakers.
All in all, this is truly a genuine idea by Nash and a great promotional campaign for the Inspired Ingenuity competition!
