SCHOTT LightPoints give a floating light’s effect

SCHOTT has launched one of its magnificent creation, what we call as floating lights and that’s also practically invisible. The multiplex or office rooms of the corporate world are sure to get a cooler look by these wonder lights. To be more accurate, this LightPoints system actually uses LEDs that are sandwiched between two pieces of laminated glass. And the total set is hung from the ceiling. What’s cool is the transparency [as you can see in the picture] and it will stun you.

You’ll feel as if the system is floating in space! Now, the question is — what about the wires and cables? Then the answer is — the system uses a Polyvinyl Butyral Foil (PVB) laminate, which is a pre-structured clear conductive coating that allows electricity to reach the LEDs without the use of visible wiring.

Interestingly, the power can be delivered through conductive circuits on top of the glass, which allows any necessary wiring to be built into the surrounding panels. Moreover, if the glass had a dense-enough pattern of LEDs, it could also be used to play back messages or other more complex animations when needed. The LEDs are also available in white, blue and green and emit light in both directions.

So, if you are really interested to give that extra effect to your surrounding, get a nice interactive architecture with this latest set.
