Our folklore and culture tells us a lot and inspires many. One such inspiration is this beautiful table Mary (Las Marias, in Mexican)designed by Victor M. Aleman. Inspired from hair braids and buns, Mary is a true representation of Mexican folklore. Made of intertwined wood plates, it resembles a braid adorning the fluidity of form and painted with bright colors that makes this table amazingly bright.
It is made of curved laminated wood which allows continuity of form. A step towards responsible and sustainable furniture production, this table is made by entwining two molds that are bent to make this 12-piece form. This table is really cute and am glad its named Mary, resembling beauty and grace of a woman. I would love to have a coffee table like this one. It would beautifully compliment almost all interiors.
