Cesta: Basket-shaped heater doubles as towel rack

Towel Heater

After a hot luxurious bath in your primly designed bathroom, a wet soggy towel is often the real dampener. We often forget to dry towels owing to our daily fast paced routine. Well, it’s the price we pay for not drying our towels after the last bath. But the solution is not farfetched any more with the new award winning Cesta that dries and stores towels neatly in an economic and aesthetic manner .

Designed by Kristian Larsen, Cesta is a towel rack cum heater in the shape of a basket that can also be used to store dry towels to keep them toasty and snug. The product designed with six pipes of 5.5 X 2.4 cm density doubles as a cozybag where you can dump your towels after the bath and return back to find them dry and fresh ready for use.

In an innovative touch to redesign modern bathrooms with a luxurious style, the Cesta could be the most useful piece of equipment apart from being a heater with its normal functions. The aesthetically designed product not only provides ample horizontal space to spread out one or many towels at a time, but also seems to blend with any decor as well. You can easily throw in the towel at the moment of hurry into the basket, and Cesta will dry them all warm and toasty ready for use. With its superb yielding dimensions, the product can accommodate even other garments that you intend to wear after the bath.

Imagine having a warm bath in a freezing temperature and later cushioning in a warm towel. Followed by warm clothes, you could be feeling so snug and comfy that – whatever the day brings on – the warm feeling will stay on for long. The Cesta has won the Denmark based product designer Larsen the second place in Terma Technologie International design contest, Frankfurt.
