Gurp has designed an awe-inspiring wall for the interiors, that reflects continuous change in the weather outside. Created for a school project on adaptive and informative skin, van Gurp’s aim was to show how the same information can be presented in new and unique ways.
“The weather outside is constantly changing, but the only way we see it change nowadays is via the weather applications on our mobile phones,” says Tijmen. “With this wall I want to show the continuous change in weather. The information it provides will be connected to different elements of the weather outside – for example, rain, wind, light and humidity.”
“I hope that after a while it will be possible to understand the mimicked weather subconsciously, and that it can make office places more pleasant,” Tijmen opines.
