Designers don’t need any particular time or place to come up with nifty ideas. Who thought one ingenious mind would take inspiration from the kitchen utensil of the Mesoamerican villages and come up with a chaise lounge! Metla Chaise Lounge by Tadeo Presa is a seating inspired by the kitchen utensil used to grind and crush corn, chile peppers and cacao.
It is believed that the Metate gets impregnated with the flavor of the spices and condiments grinded on it resulting in the very mystic combinations of flavors that are the cornerstone to the character in Latin-American foods. The Metla seat calling upon a Latin scent is one simple, elegant piece of furniture that needs no extra words to be spent on its exquisiteness.
Thanks Tadeo Presa!
