Don’t go by the picture, even when it might say a thousand words. It is definitely weird, as it doesn’t seem to be a chair from any angle. Neither does it have any legs nor any cushioned seat. Well, it is a version of age old Louis XVth armchair chair by Oscar Lhermitte, Fauteuil Louis3. The chairs have been compressed into Plexiglas cubes. These cubes will not only act as a unique table in your house, but you will also be able to sit on a piece of history. The main aim behind this project was to produce something new by adapting the design to twentieth century. A unique piece is created every time a chair is compressed, as anything cannot be compressed twice the same way. By doing this the designer has adapted the deign of the chair to the 20th century or may be we can say its his take on giving new youth to the object that has existed for centuries.
