The Wooden TV retro iPad Dock sports an excellent combination of technology and retro style. Completely different from other available iPad dock designs, the dock teams up with the iPad to functionally resemble a TV. A cool retro styled option for gadget freaks, the TV iPad dock is light and easily portable. The petite design occupies less space and can easily sit on a small study table.
The dock works just fine with both the basic iPad and iPad 2. The wooden board bears a cut out style design to signify the TV screen. The designer has appropriately provided a small round space on the cut out structure for the iPad home button.The board also styles three artificial buttons designed with wooden carvings including a power on button to complete the look of a television. The structure of television stands on four tiny legs bearing an iPad sized screen. The back of the dock has a wide space for the otherwise sleek iPad to fit in. Also, the back design contains two strong wooden fixtures to hold the iPad in place.
The only disadvantage of the dock is that it is good for a specific use only. It’s a perfect option if you are a movie buff. You can easily sit back, place the iPad and enjoy that action/thriller scene with popcorn in hands. But for other uses which may require you to switch back to portrait view, the Wooden TV retro iPad dock might not be a very comfortable option. With a reasonable height of 12.25” and width measuring at 4.5”, the handmade iPad dock is a refreshing design amongst the clutter of plastic based or regular iPad docks.
