Just like a regular household UPS, this backup system has a battery powered into its outlet box, with a light bulb inserted in the other closed half of the box. In case of the absence of power, the 5v “surge protection only” disconnects with the relay and hence the emergency lightning system gets working.
Although little mundane in design but the functionality quotient is definitely high!
