Now this is simply cool! Dutch designer Mieke Meijer designed a bed merged into a pair of chairs that make the perfect bedside. Hailed Blend, it’s a cool bed that integrates two chairs to be used as the night tables. Take a look at the bed pictured below, doesn’t it look like the chair has been expanded to fit the bed. 🙂

Blend is a fusion of a bed and chair. The chair refers to the 17th century, when people slept semi-sitting up because laying down was associated with death. The chairs now function as night tables.
