Hate folding laundry? Ask Garage’s PR2 humanoid robot!

Hate folding the laundry? Why not ask somebody to do it for you. Nobody does it? Wrong! Ask Willow Garage’s PR2. The humanoid robot that you see in the video above promises to do the task. What a great sigh of relief! The researchers at the University of California at Berkeley programmed a robot to fold towels. Willow Garage’s PR2 is general-purpose humanoid robot that has two seven-axis arms and a wheeled base with great ability. The robot as y’all can see in the video picks up, folds and piles up the towels. The PR2 successfully figures out, grasps, and fold 50 single towels and pile of five towels. It has an 81 percent grasp success rate. The paper says that the robot takes an average of 1,478 seconds on each towel which nearly is equal to 25 minutes to pick up, fold, and stack a towel. No matter how much time it takes, at-least you’re tension free. Surely, all mommies out there will love the PR2 robot.
