It’s a touch-sensitive screen that mimics modern smart-phone touch-screens displaying energy management applications. The device easily connects to appliances via the Zigbee wireless sensor communication standard or Wi-Fi and has an application programming interface that enables you to integrate it to other devices in the home.
With the Intel Home Energy Management Reference device you can monitor your energy usage and compare it with that of the neighbors. All thanks to the application that measure the level of energy generated by solar panels attached to a home.
