Leech plug pops the chord out when done with charging

leech plug
Simplest way to cut down your electricity bills is by unplugging those gadget adapters that still consume little power, when you are not charging your electronics. Leech plugs helps to save energy when the electrical device connected to a power outlet is fully charged. Designed by RISD student Conor Klein, it simply tells your electronics when to stop sucking. It is inspired by the behavior of leech (a parasite that sucks blood), and unplugs the chord when done with the charging. By using a timer circuit along with electro mechanics, it’s able to disconnect itself from the host when fully charged. Thus, it saves energy and takes care of the electricity with the noble concept design. Check the video after the jump.
