Inspired by nest, Ojek City: Permeable Mobility by LABO Architecture+Design has a special mention in the international architectural and urban design competition “Gotong Royong City: Envisioning the Future of Jakarta”. Like a nest this shelter can be placed anywhere, be it a crossroad side or under the highway. It is especially designed to fill those spaces, which have potential to become social spaces. This shelter is by, of and for the community, as it is not only maintained by the community, but also belongs to the community, at the same time is an integral part of the community space. This shelter can be employed for many uses, owing to its anywhere stack-able nature. If considered, it can become an excellent option for homeless sheltering.
