Proinjector is a microwave with a built-in projector

When the microwave ovens first hit the stores, they were hailed as the future of cooking and the first time we bought one, we thought we’d never have to slave over the stove and check on dishes being cooked ever again. And while our lives were sort of simplified because of the microwave oven, we somehow didn’t get the hands-free cooking experience that we paid for. Even the most experienced chef would tell you that cooking with a microwave oven is still an inexact science and even the fancy set of presets on one of these cannot be trusted with cooking anything to perfection. Since people still have to check up on the dishes being cooked and most of us find that task too tiresome, a gizmo like the Proinjector can really come in handy for all of us.

Proinjector

A combination microwave oven and a projector, the Proinjector was created by designers Hwang Jungjoon and Lee Jaeryong to allow users to see how far along the dishes being cooked in the microwave oven are without having to physically get up. The projector that the microwave oven comes fitted with projects a live image of what’s going on inside the oven onto the wall behind the oven so that people can look at it even from across the room. The designers say that since over-expose to microwave radiation can be dangerous to children, the elderly and pregnant women, a device like this can really help them use a microwave oven without putting themselves in harm’s way.
