Love lounging on your couch but hate having to leave your laptop/iPad/iPod/cellphone near an electric socket when the batteries start running out of juice? Relax, you’re not alone. Almost everybody today is addicted to their gadgets and the problem of having to choose between a comfortable seat and having to be without our gizmos even for a short while, has reached catastrophic levels. Luckily enough Israel designer Noam Fass has a solution for that precise problem.
Called Segment seating, the innovative seat basically is composed of a number of segments, each of which house a USB charging port which let you hook up your devices to AC power without having to move near a wall or have unseemly extension cords all over the place.
Crafted out of PP and air mesh, the flexible design may look a little frail but it is more than capable of supporting the weight of an adult. Each 1.80m x 0.6m segment from the seating can be separated to be used as a stool, or joined together to form a larger seat, lounger or even a day bed. The sturdy yet soft material ensures optimum support and comfort to the user and allows them to keep their devices by them while socializing. Segment Seating starts retailing at EUR 1,300 with additional segments costing extra.
Thanks Noam Fass!
