Designed by Nie Qilin, the Tree Ring stove unlike traditional stoves is easily adjustable to place the pans with different base radii. Taking inspiration from the tree growth rings, the heating panels of this smart cooking stove is designed to slide and be fixed according to the radius of the cooking pan. The wok and the flat-based pan both add to the functionality of the pan. Woks help preventing the food from sticking to the bottom and unlike today’s stove; the cooking on Tree Ring could be done with any type of pan. Also, there are electromagnetic induction coils at the bottom of each layer’s heating panel that ensure the even heating of the pan. Users can easily adjust the power of heating panel with the help of the capacitor induction key on the control panel.
