Windoro: Window walking robotic vacuum cleaner

To help you do the tiresome job of cleaning your home, there are undoubtedly oodles of vacuum cleaning robots available. The advancement in technology has made sure you don’t have to do the drudgery and get backaches. The researchers at Pohang Institute of Intelligent Robotics, South Korea have developed yet another robot but this time to clean other part of your house. Named Windoro, the robot does the job of cleaning the windows. Comprising of two separate modules, the robot does the cleaning of window by spraying detergent and scrubbing away. To do the needful, the robot comes with a series of spinning pads. Using neodymium magnets, the robot pulls the two modules on either side of the window to stay in the vertical position. The cool new robot’s manufacturing took around 300 million KRW that’s approximately US$258,500. The PIRO team plans to release the robot next year and it’s definitely going to wear hefty price tag.
