Created by a US based design firm Woodtec, the eco-friendly docking station has been exclusively designed for the iPad, iPod, iPhone and other Apple devices, making it easy for you to reconnect with nature. Since it is hand-made from Cedar, it smells and feels great. The device is compatible with almost all iPods and iPhones apart from shuffle. A standard USB port is used by this docking system which makes it possible to charge and synchronize with a computer. In case you are going to buy it for your iPhone, then an adapter comes along which can be plugged into the wall for charging purposes.
While applying it to your iPad, the docking station can be used in two ways. You can sync with your computer and iTunes by plugging the USB port into the computer, but it may not get charged since the watt-output of most computers is not enough to charge the iPad. Another way is to plug the USB cable into the 10-watt power adapter that comes along with the iPad. These docking stations are designed to work without any case on the iPad, since the iPad is much heavier than the iPod and needs the support of the back of a dock. There could be too much of pressure on the 30-pin connection when the iPad leans back, in case there is too much space in the docking slot. Only one is available here for $98!
