Art du Temps Swiss made mechanical clock plays with articulated squares to display time

clock

The Art du Temps Swiss made mechanical clock designed by illi and Julien Ado for designby8 mimics the rectangular board hanging on the wall of your home and with its “articulating” squares on it displays time slyly. When in passive mode, the articulating squares randomly move up and down to indicate the passing of the seconds. The squares move around to display a digital clock that seems to be hidden beneath. The “mechanical digital hours” enables the clock to display time. The clock be sold for around 90,000 Swiss Francs and you can place your orders in March 2011 with delivery of the first pieces expected in the fall/winter of 2011.
