Rima Lamp lets you choose the amount of light you need

The Rima Lamp by Dreipuls, which has recently bagged the prestigious (IMHO) Red Dot Design Award, is minimalistic in design and high on technology. The lamp uses a strip of 65 white LEDs, which can be selectively turned on or off by sliding around two sets of metal rings. Optical sensors are used to ascertain the position of the rings, so that only the LEDs falling in-between them are turned on. It seems like an effective solution for annoying glares that hinder one’s view at times.
