Home control company, Crestron has released a new range of occupancy sensors for its Green Light environmental controls that will reduce energy usage. This is yet another cool way to lower the energy consumption at home and contribute towards saving the planet.

What’s different? The sensors continually analyze and adjust to changing conditions. When activated, each sensor initiates a ‘walk-through’ mode for two and a half minutes, during which lights turn off promptly when a person enters and exits the room. After the 2.5-minute period of occupancy, the sensor shifts into ‘occupied’ mode. ‘Delayed off’ is initially set via the timer knob on the sensor, turning lights off when no motion is detected after a specific time. It’s the built-in microprocessors and photocells that shut off the lights automatically thereby cutting energy usage. Smart innovative way of cutting down the energy consumption at home, lowering the electricity bill without compromise on style and looks, surely makes this product distinct from others.

Price and availability: The sensors are available for different room sizes, wall-or ceiling-mounted and their behavior can be customized via the Crestron control system.
