In these days of escalating prices and decreasing spaces, newer and newer inventions are constantly coming up to help optimize functions within minimal available space. No doubt, necessity is the mother of invention! However, one such latest invention is the dishwasher designed for Electrolux by Kim Joonmin which is absolutely indiscernible on first look. Primarily designed as a dishwasher this appliance looks more like a dining table light source. Indeed it is one, though the fact is that the dining light option is the secondary aim of this appliance built primarily for washing dishes.

This dishwasher combined with a dining table light has been so designed that it can be positioned right above the dining table. With inbuilt customization as well as facility for the flaps to open sideways, dishes, plates and spoons can be easily mounted inside the body of the dishwasher for the purpose of washing. Not just is there, therefore an easy access to the washed crockery, but it also allows for conserving space. On the inside of the dishwasher’s body there is a miniature lighting system as well as nozzles of varying sizes to aid in the process for which the appliance was primarily built for – washing dishes. The dishwasher can be programmed for washing using controls which are available on the outer side of the flap on a touch LCD.

Through this appliance, Electrolux has attempted to integrate its latest technology with sustainability for the environment by having a system within the appliance which purifies and recycles the water used every time, thereby removing the very need for having a water inlet. Also with a special facility for hanging it atop the dining table, the secondary function of the dishwasher, viz. provide illumination to the diners can also be availed. This helps cut down on the need for having an additional light source as well. No doubt, the Electrolux dishwasher is a very cleverly designed appliance.
