How to clean your ceramic bathroom wall tiles

Cleaning bathroom tiles be really infuriating. The grout joints get very dirty, and maintaining its cleanliness is troublesome. Those feelings can now change with a bit of patience and time on your hands. The good news is, ceramic tiles don’t need everyday cleaning as they are they are not susceptible to collecting dust.

Resources Required
1. White vinegar solution in a spray bottle:
1/4 cup vinegar
1/2 cup baking soda
1/3 cup ammonia
6 cups water
2. Bleach solution (mix a gel type cleaner such as Clorox and mix it with bleaching powder and water)
3. Warm water
4. Detergents or cleaners, preferably soap-free and acid-free
5. A sponge pad
6. A mop
7. Medium or small duty brush to clean grout joints

Instructions

For Weekly Cleaning:
1. Apply the bleach solution on the wall.
2. Allow it stay for 15 minutes and then gently scrub the walls in a downward motion with a brush.
3. Scrub the grout joint with a heavy duty brush as it easier for the grout brush bristles to clean in-between the tiles.
4. A vinegar solution would kill the germs, clean the walls and give them a clean, finished look. Spray the vinegar solution and let it sit for 15 minutes and then scrub off with a brush dipped into soap water.
5. Dry off the water completely with a wiper or a dry cloth.

For Everyday Cleaning:
1. Apply cleaner on the walls and then scrub vigorously.
2. Clean in an up-down motion with a mild household cleaner.
3. Cleaners like CLR or Lime Away can be used to clean rust stains.
4. Dry the walls completely after the cleaning.

Quick Tips
Wipe off the water from your walls, especially after a shower. In order to clean higher, use a mop.

Things To Watch Out For
1. The vinegar solution should not be used at frequent intervals as it seeps into the tiles, eroding them over time.
2. Don’t scrub the tiles very hard as it will lead to scratches on them.
3. Try to use cleaners with less or no amount of acid or soap in them.
