iPhone-controlled kitchen island retracts slyly when needed

iphone controlled kitchen island

Well, if you thought the little geeky gadget-iPhone lying there in your pockets is just meant to help you communicate with people or keep you entertained then I am afraid you’re wrong. Tim Thaler designed and built a kitchen island that retracts into the floor, and yes you guessed it right, it is controlled by an iPhone. The geeky hidden kitchen island is easily controlled through your iPhone.

When need, the kitchen island can be raised and when you’re done with cooking, you can pick up your iPhone and retract the island.
Imagine your guests wondering where’s the kitchen island and you using your smart phone to bring the island up and start working on and when done, hide it below. The idea sounds pretty innovative and interestingly cool.
