Izabela Lessa Arquitetura’s Cobertura Triplex redefines living at the beach

Designed for a young couple with children, the Cobertura
Triplex was created by Izabela Lessa Arquitetura to suit the requirements of the
customers while preserving the view provided by the gorgeous southern
neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, Ipanema.

The private residence located in a Brazil comes with a
spectacular view of the Twin Mountains that the locals call the Two Brothers, the
liveliness of the nearby Dois Irmãos locality, the white sand coast, the busy beach
and the stunning azure waters sprawling in front of it.

The triplex needed to allow broad use of the space to create
an atmosphere of comfort while presenting the same kind of ergonomics that a
modern apartment has and at the same time allowing the inhabitants of the home
to bask in the magnificent view.

To provide all these diverse elements, Izabela Lessa used stone
Balinese to finish the pool while Travertine raw marble floors gave the home a
more ethnic and natural look.

The entire triplex is spread over 7535 square feet or 700
square meters of space with the three floors being linked by a marble covered
staircase that was given a modern edge via metal railings.

The home is mostly finished in white with occasional wooden
panels on the floor providing the home with a comforting coziness. The fact
that the entire home invited plenty of daylight in also allowed the designer to
keep furnishings minimal without making the space look too empty or underdone.

Each bedroom in the home comes with a sliding glass wall to
allow the outside to come in. The stark green of the mountains and the azure of
the sea allowed the home to be minimally decorated across all levels though the
children’s room was given a splash of color nonetheless.
