The Flexform Oltre sofa takes the notion of multi-functionality to a whole new level with its amazing ability to also double up as a lounge bed as well as a modular shelving system. The backrest of the sofa is crafted into a metal frame covered with polyurethane padding and finished with protective fabric upholstery which lends the sofa a luxuriant yet homely feel. The sides of the sofa, which generally are used as armrests, are made into an innovative modular shelving system that can house all your books or other display items that otherwise don’t have a fixed ‘home’ to call their own. Now, the good thing about this design is that the manufacturers are offering the same item in traditional sofa, sofa with shelf, and sofa-cum-lounge bed versions so you have a fairly wide variety of looks to choose from. The price for this beautiful Oltre sofa hasn’t been announced yet, but even if it’s slightly pricey, I’d certainly recommend the sofa with shelves model to people with space-constrictions in their homes.
