Sanyo-IBM Japan unveils world’s first energy-conserving air conditioner

The two technology giants, Sanyo and IBM Japan, have got together to unveil world’s first energy-conserving air conditioner service for server rooms with rack-type server. The products combine IBM’s patented technology and SANYO’s leading commercial-use multi-air conditioning technology. The IBM technology will directly attaching heat exchange equipment to the rear door of server racks and the SANYO technology will help the product to cool effectively. IBM will sell and even offer the installation service but under the name of IBM Refrigeration Rear Door Heat eXchanger in combinations with Sanyo’s newly developed Multi-Server Cooler. The cost of this service may include up to 3 lakh but can be almost 18,000,000 yen or $157,528.
