A tarbouche turned in to a lamp

Designer: Sherine Abdel Rassoul (Cairo, Egypt)

Designer ‘Sherine Abdel Rassoul’ hails from a country which highly values Islamic traditions and inspires its citizens to imbibe these values in their daily lives. ‘The tarbouche’ has been designed in the honor of that inspiration. This very simple and sober lamp can fill up any corner with its purity and simplicity.

What’s unique

To honor the regular Tarbouche, designer kept the exact dimensions and materials that are used in the real one. This is a very good way of complementing that feeling.

High points

The stand of the floor lamp is made from aluminum that is plain and sleek in design. This not only adds to its durability, but also its light weightiness and simplicity. This, in turn, beautifies the contrast between the red velvet lampshade and the stand. The lampshade is in cylindrical that is complimented with velvet shade. In addition, to match with the real tarbouche, there is tassel that is coming out from the center of the top part. The black tassel enhances the contrast with burgundy top.
