Believe it or not, this cylindrical shaped thing is actually a clock. But its role is not just limited to being a clock. It also acts as a lamp. Known as Roller Clock, this is the latest offering of RUS in URBE. The design of the clock is undoubtedly unique. The cylindrical body of the clock rotates to give you an idea about the time.
Apart from being a clock, it can also be used as a table lamp. The light is fitted inside the cylindrical tube and is covered by a transparent clock dial. The clock dial has numbers 1 through 12 written on it just as you would see in a normal clock and a fixed reading bar has been attached to act as an indicator. You can understand the time by seeing the number in front of the reading bar. For instance, if it is 12’o clock, then the number 12 would be positioned in front of the bar.
The cylindrical tube is supported by a stand with four legs. The tube rotates on its axis constantly to show the changes in time. The design of this Rolling Clock is a welcome departure from the conventional methods of designing clocks. It explores new dimensions of clock design and reading the movement of time in space.
