As this table, although designed like a piano, features several hi-tech elements in it such as an iPod dock! The piano-look-alike-table also has drawers to store flatware underneath. The table appears to be soft and elegant, while retaining its classy touch. It is coloured in white and the centre rises slightly like that of a real piano to add that musical touch. For those who can’t work without their favourite music blasting at the stereo, France-based La Boite concept has designed the LapTop Dock LD 120 Speaker Table. The design is tall, smart and portable featuring 120W, seven speakers with a space on top to place your laptop. The table also includes a built-in USB DAC HIFI card for high quality sound. Care has been taken to prevent the table from vibrating off by sealing the space between the laptop and the table’s surface with natural leather. This super-technically advanced furniture is also equipped with two auxiliary inputs; other music players can also be used. This piano lacquer finished table can be availed in pure white, pure black, anthracite grey and red.

1000 Watt Subwoofer Chair

Canadian designer John Greg Ball has designed the 1000 Watt Subwoofer Chair especially for the music-freak teens. The design includes a normal chair that has been equipped with two 16-inch car subwoofers – a rarity in the car audio industry. This set up is further teamed with four inch mid-range speakers, along with 1000 Watt of power for running this system. Part of this basic seating set up is the sound, which the designer admits was intended to be very loud, just like thunder. The chair has an approximate height of 18 inches; the speakers are 15.5 inches in diameter embedded within the chair.

Spanish designer Belen Hermosa has designed the ‘CD Chair’ with the help of a few hundred blank cds that are horizontally arranged in 10 rows on a thin main frame.

Designed especially for the racing car fans, Arthur Q. Reyes Jr. has created the cool Ferrari F1 Lounge Chair. The chair features a real car seat, along with a glossy F1 car finish. A foot rest is part of the creation that has a LCD TV attached to it. The complete design took Reyes a full three years to be completed.

Star Wars Inspired Desk Table

Tom Spina Designs has created this one of its kind Star Wars Inspired Desk Table for the Mark Hall studio office, who is part of the Grammy winning group Casting Crowns. The table features a 1/2″ thick glass table top from under which a carved Han Solo – the ‘reckless mercenary’ seems to be emerging. This absolutely unique furniture piece has been constructed out of metal and fiberglass and is lit on the side by orange lights offering the dramatic effect of Star Wars.

Designer Nolan Herbut has created the The Wolfgang Keyboard Bench from 2,000 recycled computer keyboard keys that have been embedded into a Baltic birch wood bench by means of springs. The most alluring part of this design is that these keys actually press down when they are pressed down, thereby appear to be moving once you are seated on it. The elegantly designed bench/stool is shaped like an ‘r’ written in the lower case in running handwriting.

Periodic Coffee Table

Designed for the scientists and to be featured at a reception area, an office space or at home, the Periodic Coffee Table has all 92 of the natural elements embedded in a solid acrylic block and preserved safely in a thick glass. Manufactured by British Craftsmen in burred oak, the coffee table measure 120 cm x 80 cm x 40 cm and costs£4,750($8,550).
