Twilight Table: A minimalist yet functional furniture design by David Tsai

Twilight Table

The mind works best when it’s relaxed. So it isn’t a surprise that our brain sprawls with ideas during bedtime. That’s the time when you’re most at ease with yourself. The ideas keep coming and you don’t know what to do with them until next morning. But when it’s finally time to wake up, it’s next to impossible recalling all of them. The best way is to write them down as and when they strike you. David Tsai designed this wonderful table just for these ideators.

This table has an open drawer-like space to keep a diary, as you can see in the image. It comes with a power plug. It has a light attached inside, towards the rear end of the table which turns on when you take out the diary to write something. The upper base of the table ensures that the light stays dim so that it does not hit you directly to avoid troubling your eyes.

It has been done so that you have enough light to write without disturbing the others that may be asleep. As soon as you’re done writing, and keep the diary back, the light turns off. All you have to do is keep it plugged in. This unique table design is well suited to be placed next to your bed and the wooden finish gives it an elegance.
