Which type of finish for the wooden floors will be best for my IKEA bedroom?

I want to know that which type of finish for the wooden floors will be best for my IKEA bedroom if I am going for do it yourself home repairs. One of my friends has advised me to use Tung oil. Do you think this will be good for the wooden floors? I think it’s too thin, what are your views about it? What according to you is the easiest finish that I can apply and have a shining floor? If I want to do 2-3 coats how much time I need for wait?
