Award-winning Airmate Convector with far infrared

Convector Heater

Winner of the Red Dot award for Product Design 2011, the Airmate Convector represents the next generation of radiators. Manufactured by Shenzhen, a China-based Airmate Electrical Co., Ltd., the device uses far infrared radiation to heat the air without depleting the oxygen in the room. The efficient and portable design comes with a handy control panel that monitors the temperature of the room and adjusts heat settings accordingly.

Created by the international design consultancy Nova Design, the convector also comes with a built-in humidifier that is fed via a transparent tank. This feature further eliminates the need to set up a separate humidity control device and because both the convector and the humidifier are controlled via the same touch panel, users can easily customize the heat and humidity settings to suit their comfort. The colored display can also efficiently indicate whether the convector is in negative ion mode or humidifying mode, which allows users to preset desired settings for future use.

The most innovative feature on the convector, however is the aluminum handle that has been so positioned that it can easily be used to dry clothes. The appliance has also been fitted with two-stage on-off switch that is easy to use, but completely childproof at the same time.
