Home furniture has undergone great revolutions over the years. Accordingly, the designers always come up with something unique to startle us all. Displaying masterstrokes of genius, Egyptian designer, Daniel Dendra designs Cairo Table for a leading furniture company, Arket. The manufacturer produces this high quality product as per European and American standards.
Though this table is simple, it doesn’t lack originality. It is not just a random design, but is based on the dynamics of river Nile. The two parts of the table are symbolic of two large plateaus on each side of Nile, representing qualities of connection and separation. Both the sides are supported by the three dimensional Cairo tessellation pattern. This causes a series of tectonic deformations on the table top which is filled in by glass, metal bowls and trays.
