We talk a lot about using solar energy, green energy, etc. But when it comes to battery charging, even the most sophisticated hi-end gadgets use that particular USB device or adapter to recharge it. Here Joel Lim YM presents a different concept – Leaf wireless solar charger.

Let us now see how it works. Leaf has a 2.0 watt contact charging panel. A series of photovoltaic panels are installed on one side of the device. On the other side, there is a magnetic induction charging pad. This field contains a charger coil that generates the power and charges the battery.

To use Leaf, first you have to place it under sunlight for about seven hours to get it ready for work. After it’s ready, you can start using this wireless charger to charge any of your device battery.

Leaf also features light indicator to show when it is fully charged. Also, while recharging your battery the indicator light will show how much energy is left in Leaf. Another flexible feature of this charger is you can plug it into conventional power socket. This will be really helpful on those days when weather outside is cloudy.
