The Calla bathtub created for Italian sanitary ware manufacturers TEUCO is not your regular run-of-the-mill bathtub concept. It doesn’t come with high-tech, high-pressure jets that will work your plain bathtub into a later by themselves, neither does it come with a stream of disco-lights that turn your daily washing routine into a ball, heck it doesn’t even come with a Dolby surround audio system that pretends to soothe you beyond imagination, instead, the bathtub simply offers a pleasurable sock in a designer tub that manipulates the user’s sensibilities into feelings of luxury!
Inspired by the shape of the lily flower, the ergonomic shape of the bath offers the perfect support to the user’s body letting them relax more fully while they are immersed in water. With a certain lightness and airiness to it, the futuristic design comes with a strip of glorious blue light running through the middle which transports users to another realm while the relax in the tub.
Created by Kiev-based designer Jurii Cegla for the Fourth edition of the All-Ukraine creative design event “Replicants” that is held by trading company “Dobrynya” and supported by Italian sanitary ware manufacturer Teuco, the Calla is a luxury bathtub fit for the future.
