Overview

This clever idea will be loved by people who wish that they could light up larger surface areas using their lamps. The beefy pair of lamps, designed for the brand Ligne Roset, have full sized shades. Peye has a tall stand, while Olive has a short stub and looks rather squatty. The shades of both the lamps bear an oversized trapezoidal outline. The shorter one is obviously meant for table tops, whereas the one with the long stand is a floor lamp. The designers were inspired by the idea of crafting pieces that made use of thought provoking shapes and materials.

What’s unique

Both these lamps have LED lights, which have been affixed at the back of their oversized shades as elongated strips. The light emitted by the Peye floor lamp emphasizes the wavy curves along its outline. It has LED lights fitted at the back of the shade around its opening. The lamps ooze out bright white colored light but with a soft glow. This demurely lit ambience is made possible due to the indirect source of light provided by the LEDs mounted at the back of the shade. The lamps can truly be called exclusive as the light emitted is bright but at the same time not too intrusive.

High points

The shade of the Peye lamp has been propped on a solid wooden base. The lamp is white on the inside and has an exterior made out of anthracite. The lamp has jaw dropping dimensions. While, the extraordinary design of the Olive lamp make it look like a chest resplendent with light. It has a remarkable design, which cuts down the drawbacks of using a light bulb.
