Produced by Emeco, the 111 navy chair has been especially designed for its strength and its lightness. It has the name 111 because it has been made from 111 soda bottles. When you drank Coca Cola all this while, did you ever think that the bottles could be molded into chairs? At least I never did. Carrying a five-year structural guarantee, the navy chair is available in six colors of Red, Snow, Flint Gray, Grass Green, Persimmon and Charcoal.
This chair has been modeled after the original aluminum Emeco Navy chair #1006, which was designed in 1944 for the U.S. Navy. Each chair is made of a mix of 60 percent rPET plastic (recycled polyethylene terephthalate plastic) and a special combination of other materials, which includes pigment and glass fiber for strength.
