Schair designed by Charlotte Kreitmann has already won accolades at BKLYN Designs by bagging the Inhabitat’s Best Student Design award. Well, it deserves every bit of it, as it draws inspiration from the uncomfortable experience of sharing other half of chair with someone even when there is not enough place. However, with the Schair, this is all about to change, as it splits to transforms into a love-seat, giving a perfect solution for two persons in terms of space.
It is made of reclaimed wood and is divided in half, so that it is easy for each side to pivot outside. Made with the help of Paul Crotty, the structure has been constructed with powder coated steel rods.
