Tiles that cook your food

Designed by Federico Weber for Electrolux Design Lab 2008, this product has been especially envisioned to give flexibility to the existing cooking systems. The cooktop has been split into two elements, namely a smart surface that has the control interface with power system and the tiles that take place of the burners. Owing to the WiTricity, you can arrange the tiles in any manner on the cooktop. This any way arrangement flexibility allows you to manage the location of burners and at the same time allow you to use the surface for cutting activities. The interface of the first element has been designed in such a way that it is flexible enough to allow you the customization of progressive levels. It also gives you the flexibility to use the system as a regular cooktop, to choose from the series of cooking programs and to create a program that best suits your needs.
