A quick glance: The best of Milan Design Week 2012

Milan, the city of constant renewal, is currently witnessing some of the best creative designs from all over the world. Starting from 17th April, the Milan Design Week will run till 22nd April, which will definitely showcase many more interesting creations. lenny kravitz + philippe starck for kartell

If it’s a furniture teamwork between French designer Philippe Starck and musician Lenny Kravitz, the result had to be mind blowing. The collection showcases a perfect amalgamation of textural fabrics including fur and python. The collection is indeed beautiful.

Cassina

On the stand Cassina, you will see this super cool sofa designed by Luca Nichetto, which can surely turn out to be a smart piece of furniture for your lounge area.

Mercedes-Benz furniture line

From sofa and chaise lounge to shelf units and sideboards, Mercedes-Benz has debuted this year in Milan with its first furniture collection. No doubt, the collection is sure going to be marvelous, exciting and luxurious, just like their super cars.

sheLLf

Milan Design Week 2012 has also witnessed this limited edition of the sheLLf bookcase. Designer Ka-lai Chain showcases this collection of 10 elements for small and medium-sized bookcases.

Park Life

British designer Jasper Morrison has unveiled his first line of outdoor furniture exclusively for Spanish brand Kettal. Titled as ‘Park Life’, the collection consists of beautiful sofa, chairs, tables and lounger. All the products are lightweight and are ergonomically constructed.

O.S.B lamp

Crafted absolutely from o.s.b wood, the O.S.B collection features various table and floor lamps to suit the requirements of different lives. Original random texture of the wood perfected with pressed crumbles and resin, induce uniqueness to every piece.

Faceture project

London-based designer Phil Cuttance is showcasing his Faceture project, which takes its cue from geometry and color. Designer has created a specific machine that produces lovely lampshades, side tables and vessels using plastic.

Sofa FAVN

Colorful, graceful and beautiful! We fall short of adjectives to define this beautiful sofa, which is created by Danish brand Republic of Fritz Hansen.
