Trey Light expresses individuality and character

Clubbing the aura of western as well eastern cultures in one design is Trey Light, which has been elegantly crafted by designer Christel Hadiwibawa from a Sydney based design studio named Christelh. Trey Light does not have a very fancy design, but is still very attention grabbing because of plain lines that accompany the illuminating piece.

One look at the simple design and you are bound to fall in love with it. The handsomely crafted light has fetched heavy inspiration from conventional as well as modern day techniques, which is pretty evident from the simplistic aura it comes smothered with. Its structure also lays a lot of stress on the diminishing gap that exists between influences of the East and West. It weighs just 1.5 kg, which ensures that shifting the light from one place to the other doesn’t sound like a task.

Trey Light has been fashioned out of timber dowels that have been placed in such a way that it gives birth to a triangle shaped frame. This frame is kept from falling apart with the help of knotted and lashing technique, which is commonly used when it comes to bamboo joinery. A shade is created by using a cord that envelops the basic frame in style. This cord is available in four different shades, red, green, orange and blue, and each is indicative of the seasons that make a complete year.

The lightweight Trey Light, with an awe inspiring design, can be placed on a flat surface and can also be used as a pendent light as per a user’s whims and fancies. Use it as a corner light or a lamp, this dainty creation will definitely win your heart.
